Breathing Method

Breathing is the most essential function of life and brings you to feel harmony with nature. Ayura focuses on exhaling and arranged abdominal breathing so that it can be practiced easily by anyone. With deep breathing, energy starts to flow through the skin and body, enhancing the effect of cosmetics. Moreover, it enhances the functions of the parasympathetic nerves, leading to better relaxation.

  1. Close your eyes softly in a comfortable sitting posture. Put your hands below the bellybutton and softly place your tongue on the back of your front teeth.
    Place both hands below the navel and concentrate your attention to the navel. Lightly place the tongue to the back of upper teeth.
  2. Exhale little by little from the mouth with putting strength in your belly to deflate.
    Imagine your belly deflating until it hits your back.
  1. Breathe from the nose by gradually inflating your belly until it is full.
  2. When inhaling, imagine energy flowing from your feet towards your head. When exhaling, imagine energy being discharged from the top of your head.

Exhale for twice as long as you inhale and repeat this. The recommended breathing cycle is 3 to 4 seconds for inhaling and 6 to 7 seconds for exhaling in total of 6 times a minute.
